Opera Star

Harry together with Covent Garden star Michelle Daly present a new genre-hopping show of Opera jazz and cabaret at the Pheasantry in London Mon 29th June. Tickets here

Show Time 8:30pm / Doors Open 6:30pm

A Royal Opera House Principal who also has the smokey voice and genuine jazz sympathy to do justice to the great American songbook? Phenomena like this come along once every few decades but mezzo-soprano Michelle Daly is one of them. With one foot in Covent Garden and the other in Ronnie Scott's Michelle's sublime voice will transport you from Puccini to Porter with effortless ease. She is accompanied by one of the UK's greatest improvisers - Harry the piano.
Following her sell out concert at the National Concert Hall Dublin, Michelle brings her brand new show to London. An operatic mezzo-soprano described in the Guardian as ‘honey-toned’ she has performed as an soloist at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and widely as an exceptional interpreter of the great American songbook. Always fascinated by the jazz of the Golden Age, Michelle will jump across repertoire and styles in a manner hardly ever seen in this country. She is accompanied by the amazing Harry The Piano from BBC Radio 3, known for playing any melody in any style: ‘The best damned pianist in the civilised world’ Jonathan Ross and the perfect choice to sit alongside this remarkable singer.
